Oosthi is a tamil remake of blockbuster hit 'Dabangg' directed by S.Dharani. Little superstar Silambarasan and Richa Gangopadhyay playing lead role in the movie. Sonu Sood, Saranya Mohan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Revathi, Ganesh, Santhanam, Mayilsamy, Thambi Ramaiah, Mallika Sherawat & Githan Ramesh playing other important roles in the movie.
STORY
Simbu plays the role of a police officer in Oosthi while Revathy is said to play the role of Simbu's Mother, played by Dimple Kapadia and Nizhalgal Ravi as his step father which was played by Vinod Khanna in the original and Jithan Ramesh plays his brother. Richa Gangopadhyay plays his love interest.
Simbu is a corrupted police officer who falls in love with Richa. Simbu and his brother are against each other as they are step brothers. Jithan Ramesh his brother becomes selfish of his brother.there after he joins a don group who ends up in trouble. Though Simbu is not in good terms with his own brother but he saves him from the clutches of the villians.
