Mohanlal is doing the central character in Ammukutty Ammayude Ajayan. He is doing the role of Ajayan in this movie and Sheela is doing the role of Ammukutty amma in this movie. Biju Menon is doing another key role in Ammukutty ammayude ajayan. He is a Police offer. His character's name is Balachandran. Balachandran is the best friend of Ajayan. He falls in love with the daughter of Mathayi(Innocent) and Reethama (K P S C Lalitha) and they get married without the permission of Reethamma and Mathayi. This makes the parents annoy. They stop the relationship with their daughter. Mathukutty wants to live as a farmer in the village itself. The story of Ammukutty ammayude Ajayan is simple. Satyan Anthikkad says that this film will definitely bring Mohanlal back into his favorite yet simple roles.
